Jenny’s area of special interest is working with children, young people and parents, providing assessment and intervention for a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties. She is interested in the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people and supporting parents to support the emotional wellbeing of their children.
Jenny is a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (since 2007). She also draws on other models such as systemic and attachment. Jenny is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Clinical Psychologist and is a member of the Division of Clinical Psychology of the British Psychological Society.

Andy Lodwick RMN, BA (Hons) BSc, PgDip CBT
Andy’s worked in mental health services in England and Wales for over 30 years. Andy is an NMC registrant has a BSc and a specialist Practitioner qualification. Andy’s previous been employed as a Clinical Nurse Leader and Advanced Nurse Practitioner. Andy qualified with a Postgraduate Diploma in CBT at Southampton University in 2011. Andy’s been a BABCP accredited practitioner since 2012 and he’s a BABCP accredited supervisor. In 2013 Andy trained in Schema Therapy. Andy was awarded the Royal College of Nursing's Mental Health Nurse of the year 2013-2014.
Andy’s currently employed as Lead Psychological Therapist for a local NHS Health Board.

Amodika (Amo) Sumithraarachchi - BCom (Hons), MA, PG dip CBT
Amo is a fully accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with BABCP, and qualified in 2020. Amo has extensive experience delivering primary care level CBT within NHS pathways, the private sector, and charitable services. Amo provides both in-person and remote therapy in-line with NICE guidelines for a wide range of mental health difficulties including depression, anxiety disorders, OCD, trauma, and long-term health conditions. Amo has delivered high-intensity CBT across primary care services, supporting clients referred via GPs, insurance providers, corporate organisations, and charitable foundations. She also has experience developing and leading psychoeducational programmes on stress, anxiety, self-esteem, and anger management, alongside facilitating wellbeing and peer-support groups. She has a particular interest in women’s mental health, working with trauma presentations, work related stress and burnout, as well as supporting clients with the psychological impact of long-term health conditions. Committed to ongoing professional development. While her core modality is CBT, Amo also draws on approaches from schema therapy, compassion-focused therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), having undertaken further training in these areas to enrich her therapeutic practice. Amo is passionate about delivering accessible, collaborative, and tailored therapy to empower individuals to build resilience and improve their wellbeing through evidence-based approaches.

Gerwyn Jones, RMN, MSc in Mental Health, PgDip CBT, PGCE, BSc (Hons)
Gerwyn qualified as Registered Mental Health Nurse in 1998. In 2002 he gained a first-class honours degree in Nursing Studies at Swansea Metropolitan University. Between 2004 and 2023 Gerwyn worked as a lecturer/senior lecturer in mental health nursing at Cardiff University, where he held senior roles.
In 2006 he acquired an MSc in Mental Health and completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at Cardiff University in 2018. He achieved Accreditation with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) in 2021.
Gerwyn combined working as an academic with roles in the NHS as a High Intensity Therapist in Community Mental Health, Primary Care and as a Community Veterans Mental Health Therapist. This was particularly rewarding as he served in the Royal Air Force prior to becoming a mental health nurse. Since October 2024 Gerwyn has been working as a lecturer on the Post Graduate Diploma in CBT at Cardiff University. This is the only multi-professional Cognitive Behavioural Therapy programme in Wales accredited by the BABCP.
Gerwyn has a proven record of helping clients with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Social Anxiety, Health Anxiety and Depression. He has supported clients with adjustment issues associated with being diagnosed with terminal illness and Body Dysmorphic Disorder. David Hitt, RMN, BSc (Hons), PgDip CBT
David has been a registered mental health nurse since 1997. He has a first class honours degree in Nursing as well as an honours degree in Biology. He has been practicing CBT since 2005, after achieving a postgraduate diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at the Institute of Psychiatry in London. He is a CBT accredited practitioner with the BABCP, as well as a member of the NMC. He is also trained in Eye movement desensitization reprocessing therapy (EMDR). His areas of specialist interest include Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Social Phobia and Panic Disorder, though he is also experienced in the treatment of PTSD, Health Anxiety and Depression.
David currently works within the NHS where he has had a variety of roles over the last 28 years. He currently works within the in-patient unit in Llandough Hospital. David also works on the only BABCP level 2 accredited post graduate CBT course in Wales, having been involved in its developed over ten years ago. He is also involved in the Clinical Psychology doctorate training. Both of these programmes are run from Cardiff University.

Dr. Pam Roberts, BA (Hons), Dip Clin Psych, D.Clin>
Pam is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years’ experience of working in mental health and addiction services across South Wales. She most recently worked as a consultant locally and for many years acted as Welsh representative on the British Psychological Societies ‘advisory panel for addictions. For the last 8 years Pam has acted as the Lead psychologist for addictions in South Wales. Prior to this she worked for nearly 10 years in forensic services providing psychological assessment and treatments to an inpatient unit in South Wales. Pam has, for many years, been involved in training other professionals as part of the Clinical Doctoral Course at Cardiff University as well as many other professional specialties across South Wales. Pam has undertaken work on behalf of the Welsh Assembly Government in relation to Alcohol Related Brain Damage and has recently evaluated the first pilot project offering treatment approaches for this disorder.
Pam has been involved in a Cochrane Review relating to substance misuse and PTSD and has worked extensively with this population. She uses a CBT approach to working with addiction problems, anxiety, depression and early traumatic experiences. Pam is also trained in the use of Trauma Focussed CBT and EMDR.
Pam is accredited with the British Psychological Society and the Health and Care Professions Council as a Clinical Psychologist.

Dr. Neil Kitchiner, RMN, BA (Hons) Behav Psych, Cert ENB 650, MSc, PhD
Neil is a Consultant Psychotherapist with over 40 years experience of working in NHS mental health services within the UK (England/Wales) and Australia.
Neil is Director and Consultant Clinical Lead for Veterans' NHS Wales. He holds an Honorary title: Senior Research Fellow with Cardiff University.
Neil uses a mixture of CBT and trauma focused psychological therapies, including Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Conjoint Therapy (for treating couples where one or both have PTSD) and the Muss Rewind Technique. He is also interested in the treating insomnia with CBTi.
Neil is a recognised CBT accredited therapist with BABCP since 1999 and EMDR provider with most major insurance companies such as AXA, CIGNA, WPA and AVIVA (Neil no longer accepts BUPA referrals) and also takes referrals on a self-funding basis. Neil mostly works with adults with PTSD.

Josephine Delahay RMN, PgDip Couns (integrative), PgDip Thorn, BSc (Hons), PgDip CBT
Jo is a psychotherapist, lecturer, trainer, and supervisor with over thirty years of experience in mental health. Her career began as a mental health nurse, working in inpatient, intensive care, and acute settings before moving into community-based roles within crisis day hospitals and acute community teams.
In 2008, Jo retrained as a psychotherapist and has since dedicated her work in the NHS to supporting people living with trauma. Her experience spans medical and acute trauma, as well as trauma within the veteran, paramedic, and fire service communities. From 2018-2024, Jo worked as a senior lecturer for Cardiff University on the postgraduate Diploma in CBT.
Jo currently works in a specialist NHS trauma service, focusing on developmental trauma and supporting refugees and people seeking asylum.
Her areas of specialist interest include working with anxiety disorders (panic, OCD, social anxiety, health anxiety, PTSD, and phobias), BDD, depression, self-esteem and confidence issues, bipolar disorder and psychosis. Jo also enjoys working relationally.
Jo is a professional member of the Institute of Psychedelic Therapy and is about to complete their two-year Depth Relational Process Training, during which she has gained both personal and professional experience of non-ordinary states of consciousness. This has deepened her understanding of how to support and integrate these processes with care and in safe relational ways. Jo offers preparation and integration in relation to psychedelic experiences. Jo has deep respect for this work and honours its capacity to support profound personal transformation when held safely and within a relational context. Jo does not provide, nor facilitate, psychedelic experiences.
Her main psychological therapy approaches are EMDR, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Compassion-focused Therapy. She is currently training in Internal Family Systems (IFS). She works online and in person with clients in both short and long-term frameworks
Jo is a recognised CBT provider with most major insurance companies such as Bupa, CIGNA and AVIVA and also takes referrals on a self-funding basis. She works with young people aged 15/16 upwards and adults.

Deborah Kitchiner, RMN, BN (Hons), MSc Applied Social Learning Theory & Counselling (CBT)
Deborah trained as a Registered Mental Health Nurse at the University of Birmingham before taking up a post in the private sector, within an adolescent inpatient setting at Priory Hospital, Bristol. Deborah then worked in an NHS acute psychiatric setting before working in the Cardiff & Vale UHB Mother & Baby Unit at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff.
Deborah trained as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist at the University of Birmingham in 2005, obtaining an MSc with distinction. She has completed Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) training to level 3 and uses EMDR extensively with trauma clients. She is also trained in attachment focussed EMDR. She is a member of the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC). Deborah's areas of special interest include working with PTSD including childhood trauma, Panic Disorder and other Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Self-Esteem and Peri-natal Psychiatry.

Dr Alyson Smith, BSc (Hons), MA, PGCE, PhD, PsyClinD
Alyson is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with 20 years of experience working with adults in the NHS and private sector. Alyson areas of clinical practice:
- Addictions or difficulties with alcohol or substance use, as well as behavioural addictions (e.g. gambling, sexual addictions)
- Adults experiencing depression or anxiety or struggling with transitions
- Workplace related impact in psychological well-being (e.g. burnout)
- Improving psychological well-being and resilience
Alyson's therapeutic approach draws upon a range of evidence based psychological psychological therapies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Motivational interviewing. Alyson also uses techniques from broader scientific literature (e.g. positive psychology) to enhance positive aspects of the individuals well-being. Dr Smith is Registered with AXA and Vitality health insurance schemes.
